Thank you for the insight. Being in the US we really don't have a clue to how much goes into these shows and usually only see the finished product. To me it brings a whole new level of respect to the artists and the fandoms.

ITZY is the group music shows use to catch up when they are behind schedule due to set issues, or other groups needing more takes. When ITZY comes up on the recording schedule, they know they can go fast, because ITZY will give perfect takes every time. They did the standard 6 cam recording just twice, and then Inkigayo modifies the stage for the one take running cam, which they edited in footage for those slow-motion close ups. So, they recorded just 3 times total. At Music core there is no running (meaning handheld gimble camera) one take cam, so we had just 2 full takes, but they let us in for the camera rehearsal (sometimes they don't let us in for that). So, we got to see it 3 times. MIDZY as a supporting fandom often gets the short end at music shows because, ITZY is so good, they don't need a lot of takes, and MIDZY is so good at getting into our spots standing or into our seats for sitting, that we can move in and out in under 30 minutes for a recording, including recording time, monitoring and the group talking with us. Many groups spend 1hr or more inside recording. If we line up for check in at 2am for a 4am recording, we often see another group of fans go in at 2am and come out after 3am. We know we are delayed then :) There are often delays with set construction, they build those sets and take them down and build the next one between group recordings. All done the day of the show starting after midnight, until about noon, then they break for lunch, and they will have the recordings for the groups without sets that use only LED graphics behind them, from 1 until the live show starts. Music Bank at KBS doesn't start recording until 6am and goes up to about 4pm (Live show is at 6pm). Because it's the government channel they don't make the staff work like 18-20 hr days. So, Music Bank will have fewer groups with sets, the sets will be simpler, and many groups record with LED graphics only.
