The Babysitter, Part 51
🕑 Added 2024-04-16 20:56:01 +0000 UTCI was stunned.
Offended, too. The girl who was so much of a brat that her parents hired a babysitter who specialized in particularly difficult girls, stealing my name? I still had no idea why she was here, either. There was no way she was conveniently coming over to play video games with Paige and company. Although unless they had scripted this ahead of time, it seemed like Miley knew Shannon to some degree. Was there actually some connection there? Maybe Miley was friends with Shannon’s younger sister or something.
There wasn’t a lot of time to process or leap to conclusions. Before I could find the words to express my feelings about any of this, Noelle tugged on my arm. “Nice to meet you, Alyssa,” she said, oblivious to the fact that I started a bit at the name while in her grip, “Anyway, we’ll be back down in a few minutes.”
“Noelle-” I began.
“Miley, hush. You’re on thin ice as it is. Now, come on.”
She walked me up the stairs, as I glanced back one last time to see both Paige and the real Miley smirking out of both smugness and amusement. And then they were out of sight, giggling to themselves along with Violet and Annika. I was obviously the source of their mirth, but Noelle would just assume that it was girls being girls as she escorted me back to my bedroom.
We made it all of three steps into my room before she closed the door behind us and got right to business. “I don’t even know what to say, Miley. Wetting yourself at the park? Is this your way of getting back at me for putting you into pull-ups?”
“N-no!” I exclaimed, “Of course not!” That was easily the worst possible explanation. Being correct about the fact that it wasn’t actually an accident, yet perceiving my actions in such a petty manner. Would the Miley downstairs be that much of a brat? Leaning hard into a punishment at her own expense out of spite? Maybe. But I wasn’t her. “It just- Ruby said-” Was I going to get a better chance to attempt the truth? Right now it was just me and Noelle, so Paige couldn’t interfere. “Ruby made me do it. I swear! She said if I didn’t-”
Noelle scoffed. Enough that it cut me off. “Wow. So I guess everyone’s out to get you, then? Your sister? Your ballet teacher?”
“She’s not my teacher!!” I insisted, “She’s just mad I got the spot she wanted last season, and-”
“And made you wet yourself . . . ?”
That was all it took to make me lose my steam. It did sound ridiculous when trying to explain it out loud. I shouldn’t have said anything at all. Between my false age and the recent reminder to Noelle that I was a compulsive liar, I didn’t stand a chance. That would also be some pretty excessive bullying, based on Noelle’s perception of my age and Ruby’s. Shifting gears entirely, I implored, “Please, Noelle. Just take me next door. Our neighbors will know me!”
She just sighed. “And we’re back to this nonsense. A mature girl would already be in the shower by now.”
“No, I-” Unable to stop my cheeks from flushing, I awkwardly clarified, “I meant, you know . . . after that.”
“Uh huh,” Noelle gestured towards the bathroom, “Go clean yourself off, Miley. I’ll set out two clean pull-ups on the counter while you’re in there. You will put on both, and you will wear them until tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow morning?! As in, all day and all night? This was just supposed to be a brief yet embarrassing punishment! “Noelle, please! I can’t-”
“Miley, hush. You clearly can’t be trusted in regular underwear. If you want out of pull-ups, then prove it by making it to the bathroom from here on out. Okay?”
“But-”
“Do you know what would have happened if you hadn’t been wearing protection earlier? That white skirt would have shown everything; you would have been stuck in wet and dirty clothes until we found something for you to change into. Of course, that’s assuming this was an accident in the first place.”
There was no good answer. I was half tempted to be the brat she thought I was and claim that I had wet myself on purpose. Wasn’t that better than being a girl Miley’s age who had a daytime accident? Except it was already quite the uphill battle in terms of finding a way to make her believe me; the last thing I needed was for Noelle to think that I was as difficult as the girl she had been hired to keep in line.
Unable to decide, and hoping that a few minutes of solitude would help me sort things out, I just mumbled, “I’m sorry.”
“That’s better. If you’re not faking it.” She gestured again towards the private room attached to my bedroom. “Go on. And make it quick; you already showered once today. Oh, and put your pull-ups where you did before.”
My blush darkened at that. Both the possessive description of the babyish underwear, as well as the reminder that this was my second time having to remove soaked padding before a shower. As for her suggestion, that had already been my plan. Having wet hair all over again would make me look less mature to both Noelle and Paige, and scrubbing just my lower half made a lot more sense due to my current situation.
Retreating to the bathroom and quickly closing the door, I let out a heavy sigh. How was this still happening to me?! Noelle was no closer to learning the truth than she had been yesterday. If anything, she was more deeply under the impression that I was Miley, as Ruby and the real Miley had echoed various elements of my false identity. The girl in the mirror was also rather youthful, though I still saw a high schooler looking back at me. But with the bright top and no make-up, I definitely looked less like my usual self. Especially as I stripped down and caught a glimpse of myself wearing nothing but pull-ups.
After turning on the shower to let the water heat up, I carefully removed the wet padding. Cringing at how gross it was, and being careful to keep my legs from brushing too much against the damp material, I stepped out of the double pull-ups and set them down on the tile by the toilet like before. Blushing to myself as the AC made me instantly feel how damp my ass and pelvis was, I jumped right into the shower to wash my hands instead of using the sink.
I should have put my hair up. Then again, were there even any hair ties in the bathroom? Paige and her friends had taken basically everything yesterday. Resorting to just pulling my hair over the front of my shoulder to keep it dry, I started bathing myself below the waist right away. Thirty seconds later, Noelle knocked to make sure I was behind the curtain, then came into the bathroom to set out the fresh pull-ups she had mentioned. I’d find out in a few minutes that she also grabbed the wet ones and gave the floor a quick wipe before leaving.
Similar to my previous shower, as well as when I had been put to bed the other night, it turned out that privacy wasn’t the most helpful thing in terms of figuring out what to do next. My best bet was still darting next door and hoping that our neighbor answered the door before Noelle caught up and dragged me away. Thanks to the bracelet I was stuck in, sneaking off was no longer an option. Other than that . . . finding my phone, maybe? We didn’t have a landline any more. The problem was, there were countless places Paige could have hidden that; one of her friends could have even taken it home with her, making it completely out of reach.
After thoroughly cleaning myself, especially the areas that had been stuck in the gross padding for at least thirty minutes, I stepped out of the shower and grimaced at the sight of the pink pull-ups waiting for me. There was really no getting out of this. Though I was 95% sure Paige was involved with last night’s bedwetting, and the ‘accident’ in the park had been compelled by Ruby, Noelle was fully under the impression that I actually needed protective underwear. That, or she was making me wear them in response to me purposely wetting myself. Either way, this made sense to her, yet was humiliating for me.
She had left the training bra and light blue top, but my skirt was nowhere to be seen. Either way, I was going to have to put the pull-ups on. It was either that, or Noelle would punish me and I’d end up wearing them anyway.
I finished drying off, blushing to my naked self in the mirror as I tentatively picked up the first of two pull-ups that I’d be stuck in for the rest of the day.
