The Conference, Part Four

Any other girl, and this would be going down differently. It didn’t help that she was fucking gorgeous from the neck down. As Larissa stepped back and let the water run over her hair and face to round out the rinsing process, I finally allowed myself to give her a quick once-over. I knew her body type well enough from the tight business clothes she wore, and of course she had the most tempting hourglass figure with curves that were both aesthetically and proportionally perfect.
If she was trying to seduce me, regardless of her intentions, she certainly had an unfair advantage. Alternatively, if she was trying to fuck me in a more metaphorical sense, this was a bold and completely unexpected approach.
Her words belatedly registered to me. What was I going to do? I hadn’t done anything yet. Just enjoyed the hot water and used the relaxing setting to mentally prepare for the coming evening. This would be about the time I started on the shampooing process, except one of my hands was currently busy cupping my crotch. And also, did Larissa seriously expect me to shower with her? That was beyond crazy.
She ended up being the one to speak again when I failed to say or do anything by the time she was leaning forward and pushing her now wet hair out of her face. “Okay, I guess I’ll go first,” she shrugged. Reaching down and grabbing the small bottle of complimentary shampoo from the little shelf off to the side, she continued acting like all of this was the most normal experience in the world. Now that her eyes were open again, I had to make a conscious effort not to let my gaze fall to her bare chest as she filled her palm with the stuff. Unlike me, she wasn’t trying in the slightest to cover her private areas. Glancing up as she popped the lid back onto the bottle, she held it out to me, “Here. You do realize we have our first meeting in less than thirty minutes, right?”
I finally managed to come to my senses. Doing what I should have done the second she stepped into the tub, I turned away and pulled the curtain back enough to leave the shower. “I was just rinsing off,” I lied. Though my crotch was still concealed by my hand, there wasn’t much I could do about my backside as I retreated.
Just like that, Larissa had seen me in a state far more casual than I had anticipated for this weekend. I had already braced myself for her to be around me while I was in my sleepwear, but not while fucking naked! Granted, I had also seen plenty of her. It wasn’t until I glimpsed myself in the bathroom mirror that I realized I was a little bit flushed.
“Letting me have the shower all to myself? What a gentleman,” she said, with an amused lilt to her tone, “You can stay and use the sink if you need it.”
There was no way she did something that bold just for the sake of getting me out of the shower. Her offer also made me realize that the shower curtain did very little in terms of privacy. We could still easily speak to each other, and she would only have to peek out to see me. Again, I had the same option, save for the pretty big double standard. She could easily play off something like that, where I’d be the bad guy for doing the same despite how she started all of this.
Not dignifying her offer with a response, and not feeling remotely equipped to play whatever game this was, I merely left the bathroom entirely, grabbing my towel and dress clothes along the way. I was dripping all over the place. Pausing for a moment to dry myself off after closing the door behind me, reminding myself that getting the carpet wet was arguably more Larissa’s fault than mine, I cursed under my breath when I realized that I did need the bathroom. At least to deal with my hair while it was still wet, and to brush my teeth before leaving the shared room.
However, the priority was making myself decent. After doing one more pass with the towel, I proceeded to put on my outfit for the evening. Everything but the blazer and dress shoes, which I would deal with closer to the actual leave time. All the while, I kept an ear out for the sound of the water turning off, and thought about what I was going to do if she decided to saunter out while still just as naked as she had been in the shower. Also, her old clothes were in a messy pile on the bed, and I didn’t remember seeing anything in the bathroom besides what I had hung up for myself. That meant I would at least be dealing with her wrapped in a towel.
Leave it to Larissa to come up with a tactic that was well beyond what I had anticipated. And now that I was out of the surreal experience of seeing my rival naked, it was difficult not to think about her. Specifically, her body. I still wasn’t interested in her in the slightest, yet I couldn’t help but get slightly aroused as I remembered everything. Should I have made a move? She could have been aiming for some hate sex or something that was strictly physical, where we could both go at each other to take the edge off before suffering through being partnered for all the professional stuff on the horizon.
Fuck. That was a dangerous fantasy to entertain. Taking a breath and willing myself to calm down before the twitch or two below turned into something more, I quickly assured myself that Larissa was just playing head games. If she was into something like that, she would have just gone for it.
I decided to distract myself by picking up my binder and flipping through the pages. Overthinking wasn’t going to do me any good. I’d just have to confront her when she emerged from the bathroom and tell her to stop the head games. Because they were already working.
She was done with the shower sooner than later, no doubt due to the very time constraints she used as justification earlier. At that point, there was nothing I could do to keep myself from focusing on the ordeal to come. Maybe it would be best if I just left the room and met her in the lobby?
Too late. By the time that idea crossed my mind, she was opening the door. I still had to put my shoes on and, on top of that, Larissa was about to be standing between me and the exit.
And, to my many conflicting thoughts and emotions, she had left her towel behind.
