The Babysitter, Part 47

On paper, it should have been simple. Considering the reason I had stepped into the bathroom in the first place was because I had to go, it’s not like I was in a situation where I had to relieve myself like I sometimes would before a long drive even if I didn’t actually feel the need. And since this was the only way to get Ruby to help me, there was a pretty clear motivation to do it.
Still, overcoming years of proper bathroom habits was easier said than done. I was used to the privacy of a stall or the comfort of going at home, both of which involved sitting on a toilet. Outside, while dressed, with another girl watching? Not nearly as natural. I was tempted to close my eyes to tune out the world to the best of my ability, but was too worried about Ruby taking a video when I wasn’t looking.
Speaking of which . . . “No recording,” I said. It was only partly because I was actually worried about that happening, since her hands were currently empty; I was mostly using it as an excuse for why this was taking so long.
“Does it look like I’m recording?” Ruby asked. She showed me both of her palms to further demonstrate that she wasn’t holding anything, let alone a phone that would have been obvious long before the gesture.
I didn’t have a response for that. Instead, I did my best to re-focus on the task at hand. Allowing my knees to bend a little bit more and parting my thighs, blushing at how awkward I must look yet committing to the position for the sake of tricking my body into doing something unfamiliar, I made a more conscious effort to flex down there and signal to my bladder that it was time.
How long had it been? Ruby only gave me a minute, though she could have meant that in the figurative sense, considering that she didn’t have anything to time me with. Still, I didn’t want to push my luck. Flexing a bit more than what would usually be natural, both mentally and physically willing myself to overcome the various hang-ups I was facing, I finally felt the familiar sensation of letting go in a similar manner to what I was used to behind closed doors.
It wasn’t immediate, especially considering my body’s awkward position. The first few drops made it painfully clear that this was not at all like the experiences I was used to. Rather than hitting the water of a toilet bowl, the splash of urine was caught by the padding I was wearing. For a moment, I considered making a run for the bathroom before I did something I regretted. That is, until the sight of Ruby reminded me that this was the only way out of the situation that caused me to need her help in the first place.
Rather than holding back, I relaxed my muscles to the best of my ability and allowed the initial trickle to start for real. Little by little, it turned into a more steady stream, and I couldn’t help but blush when the previous silence was broken by a faint hissing sound that Ruby no doubt heard through the pull-ups as well. Then there was the fact that I was wetting myself. It didn’t take long before the padding between my legs had soaked up enough pee to start sagging ever so slightly. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite enough to keep the babyish underwear from clinging to me as well, no doubt thanks to how Noelle decided that I needed to wear two.
Ruby’s lips were parted in what looked like half a jaw drop of disbelief, with the other half clearly being a grin. The reaction made it pretty obvious that she hadn’t fully expected me to actually follow through on what she had demanded of me. True to her word, she wasn’t recording me, but the look in her eyes informed me that this moment would forever be stored in her memory.
After maybe thirty seconds, I was surprised that I was still going. It hadn’t felt like I needed to relieve myself that badly when I first stepped into the bathroom. My blush was persistent at this point as I continued to wet myself for another fifteen or twenty seconds before the stream slowly subsided. By the time I was done, I was a little scared to move. The pull-ups had managed to soak everything up, but it was gross enough just feeling the warm padding against me as it was; I knew that the second I moved, everything would shift around and rub against any number of places that were currently still clean.
“Wow.” Ruby’s grin faded into a small smile as she kept her gaze trained on me. Mostly my lower half. “You literally just pissed your diapers. I didn’t think you were actually going to do it, Alyssa! You must really hate this whole ‘Miley’ thing, huh?”
Her words didn’t register right away. I was too busy processing the same thing–that I actually just did that! There was absolutely no denying it, as even the smallest shift of my weight made me aware of how the pull-ups felt now vs. before I started. “They’re pull-ups . . . ” I clarified, finally. It hardly made the situation better, yet I could only tolerate her using the wrong word so many times. For whatever reason, ‘pull-ups’ felt slightly less embarrassing than ‘diapers.’ Of course, all of that was a bit moot when wetting myself easily overshadowed the rest in terms of humiliation. Doing my best to push through the thoughts racing through my head, as I very much did regret caving to Ruby’s terms when there had surely been something else I could have offered her, I said, “Now, Noelle?” My usual self would have been more direct and demanding. I just couldn’t risk being too pushy when saying the wrong thing could potentially result in Ruby going back on her word.
She just giggled. “I still can’t believe you actually did it. But fine, I guess I can take a small detour.”
That was the good news. The bad news was, I couldn’t just stay frozen indefinitely. Unable to help from cringing a bit, I stood back up from the partial squat and tried to keep from making yet another face as I felt the thoroughly wet pull-ups shifting against my thighs.
What was the quickest way back to the picnic table, again? I hadn’t completely lost my bearings, though running into Ruby and subsequently using the pull-ups as my toilet had been enough of a distraction when this was my first time at the park Paige had led us to.
“This way,” I said. Nodding in the general direction of where I had originally come from, I could only pray that Ruby would stick with me, and that I could somehow keep Paige and her friends from learning about my ‘accident’ after everything had been cleared up with Noelle.
