Meet the New Fishing System!
🕑 Added 2023-10-30 15:47:02 +0000 UTCThe part of the game people complained about the most was fishing. And we admit it wasn't entertaining. So we took our time and made a whole new fishing mini-game that's maybe the best mini-game we've made so far!
How it's working now:
- You can catch up to two fish in one session a day, having five tries;
- Randomly one of the three sizes fish will take your bait, or sometimes none (no catch chance was optimized, no more the 5 times in a row);
- Then you get the QTE event of pulling the fish: tap quickly the arrow that will appear on the screen (or the arrow key);
- The bigger the fish the harder it is to pull it, and so it costs more to sell later;
- We've made little moving pieces like the fish, float, arrows, and John holding the rod + sounds - should feel way better than before;
- The amount for the fishing quest remains the same (the type of fish Lilu eats is random); for Tara, you need the big one.
PS: the first game features post that was our second development post ever was also about fishing. I'm curious if some guys who followed us back then are here now.
