Dev Update - v0.5.0 Progress Update + Charge Up Front Starting in July
🕑 Added 2018-06-23 00:35:38 +0000 UTC Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that we will be switching to a Charge Up Front payment method starting on the 1st of July.Current patrons will not be affected by this change. They will continue to be charged on the 1st of every month as normal.
New patrons will be charged as soon as they pledge and then again on the 1st of the following month. Learn more
We decided to wait for the 1st of July to activate Charge Up Front so that new patrons will not be charged twice in a short period of time and to give everyone a heads up first.
Charge Up Front will help prevent false pledges (people who pledge and cancel before paying just to snatch rewards). This will also allow us to give rewards without having to wait until the end of the month.
And now for a brief progress update on v0.5.0! As many of you know, we had some issues with Patreon earlier this month. This caused some delay with our development, but we are still on track for a v0.5.0 launch sometime in early July.
You can expect an update with content that is close in size to v0.3.0's update, so there will be more content than in v0.4.0.
Some of the highlights in the upcoming release will include: more events for all of the manor girls, a new multi-girl event and a new, lengthy story line for one of the side characters. Aside from that, there's even more content we are working on and I look forward to having you guys play and test the new version next month!

Yeah, I'll only get the $5 from you. Right now, you are only charged on the 1st of the month so if you delete or edit your pledge before then, you'll either not be charged at all (if pledge was deleted) or be charged what your current pledge is ($5). When I change it on July 1, it will work the way you expected it to. Once I've changed it: if someone pledges $50 on July 2, they will be charged $50 right away. Then if they change their pledge to $5 right after (or anytime within July), they will be charged $5 on August 1st.
I did the "Mythic Master" pledge and then canceled it. I am currently pledging $5 per month but does this mean you won't get the $50 and I won't get the rewards?

I'm not sure I understand your particular beef, but as near as I can tell, you are right, you don't need to care. Your payment will be processed the same as before. In other words, you do not get charged twice. You will get charged at the regular time, first of the month. Any NEW member, will be charged the same time they pledge. This eliminates the "fake" pledge people. Those people actually take advantage of YOU as well as the dev, because you paid for something they are trying to get for free. I think I understood what you were saying, but feel free to clarify further.

People sign up, get the game, and then cancel before the end of the month- so before he didn't get paid. Now he's getting paid first. This is the way it should be. He should be paid for his work. Period.
