Liam’s eyes blew wide open. My stomach dropped. We froze, silent, sweat clinging to our skin.
Then came the knock again—firmer this time. “Liam? Are you in there?”
Scrambling off the bed, I yanked on my boxers, the waistband sticking to my damp skin. Liam darted around the room like a man possessed. The towel he’d come in with was on the floor, wet and useless. He spotted the gym shorts I’d worn earlier and yanked them up. They barely fit him—my clothes were snug on me, and he was broader in every direction. The waistband clung to his hips like spandex, and the fabric stretched dangerously around his thighs.
I cracked open the door just enough to peer out.
Paige stood there in her sleep shorts and an oversized tee, blinking at me like she wasn’t fully awake. “I turned over in bed and you weren’t there,” she said softly. “What are you doing?”
Before I could say a word, Liam called out from behind me, voice laced with lazy exhaustion. “Hey, babe. The AC in our room’s busted. I was sweating like crazy, so I came in here to crash.”
Her eyes drifted over my shoulder, taking in the room, the two rumpled beds, Liam’s bare chest. She frowned. “But the AC’s not on in here either.”
I stepped in quickly. “It was. I just turned it off—it got freezing all of a sudden.”
She squinted, but she was too sleepy to care. After a moment, she just sighed and nodded. “Okay. Well… you coming back to bed?”
“Yeah,” Liam said with a yawn. “Give me a sec.”
Paige padded back down the hallway without a second thought.
As soon as she was out of earshot, Liam turned to me, his chest still heaving slightly. “Jesus.”
“You pulled that out of nowhere.”
He smirked and grabbed his phone off the nightstand, fingers moving quickly. He slipped out the door quietly.
A moment later, my phone buzzed.
Thanks for that tight ass.
I smiled, biting my lip, and replied: All yours, roomie.
My heart was still pounding when I lay back down. I could feel the ache between my legs, the soreness deep inside me. I wasn’t sure if it was the adrenaline or the memory of him slamming into me minutes earlier, but I couldn’t sleep. Not really.
By morning, it was like nothing had happened.
Paige was humming to herself in the kitchen, making eggs and toast like it was just another sunny day. I sat across from Liam at the table, trying to act normal. His hair was still a mess, and his eyes were low-lidded, lazy with sleep. He sipped from his coffee like he didn’t have a care in the world.
Under the table, his bare foot nudged mine.
I didn’t move.
It came again—more purposeful this time. Sliding up my calf, slow and steady. I looked up, trying not to grin, and caught him watching me over the rim of his mug.
Then my phone vibrated.
I meant it last night. I can fuck you for hours.
I nearly spit my juice all over the table.
“You okay?” Paige asked.
“Yeah,” I coughed. “Juice went down the wrong way.”
Liam looked like he was chewing the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing.
She glanced between us. “You two are acting weird.”
I shrugged. “Weird how?”
She didn’t answer, just turned back to the pan and flipped the eggs.
A few minutes later, we were finishing up breakfast when she wiped her hands on a dish towel and turned toward Liam. “Hey babe… I’ve been meaning to tell you.”
He looked up from his phone. “What’s up?”
“I’m gonna be out of town this weekend. Remember my friend Angie? She’s back in the city for a few days. We’re doing a little girls’ trip—wine, hiking, whatever. I’ll be gone Friday to Sunday.”
I felt my stomach flutter.
Liam sat up straighter. “Oh, yeah? That’s this weekend?”
She nodded. “Yup. I just confirmed with her this morning.”
Liam leaned back, stretching. “Nice. That’ll be fun.”
Paige gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, then turned to start cleaning up the plates.
My phone buzzed again.
I don’t think I can wait until she leaves. My cock’s already twitching.
I didn’t reply. I just swallowed hard and slid my hand under the table, brushing against Liam’s thigh—those tight shorts still hugging him like a second skin.
He didn’t flinch.
He just grinned.
