This is a really good video! Thank you so much for explaining what a feminist film is, and how Set If Off shows different marginalisations respectfully. I haven't seen Set It Off, but I'll see if I can find the film so I can watch it. Take care, and I hope that your mental health will get better.

I love how you articulate the vague opinions I have floating in my head! Everytime a movie with an all-female cast comes out and people start rolling their eyes about how this is a feminist movie that will try to shove feminism down their throats, this is what I'm thinking. Not all female-led movies are feminist. And they don't need to be. People need to learn that we can centre marginalized perspectives without there being "an agenda" and "a message". That's just a knee-jerk reaction because we're used being fed art and culture from a cis white perspective. In other news, I need to Watch Set It Off already! It's embarrassing at this point.
