I'm so nervous about the potential response to this and if people will even watch the whole thing, but I never have been bold enough to even attempt to do this if it wasn't for you guys xx I want to make videos a bit shorter than this and hopefully when the new computer comes and Final Cut Pro I'll be able to do even more stuff! Gonna try and get some time stamps on here too by EOD!

I am so glad I became a Patreon. As an East African (residing in Kenya), such takes are so important to me & so crucial to our collective understandings around imperialism/colonialism/occupation. It’s tragic that the West continually fails to understand why such stories must surpass these tired, inflated faux-harmonious narratives. I loved your thorough analysis. Honestly, this is the content I've been craving! Your video got me to become a patron! I didn't realize there were this many animated shows that used the theme of colonization and imperialism. Thank you for laying out the parallels and differences between them to highlight the limits of using it as a theme and why I felt like something was missing from SU. Also your mention of Frozen 2 lead me to check out your Frozen 2 analysis video and the film itself. It was so good and definitely raises the standard for telling decolonial stories.
