I'm sorry but I don't know why you're having this problem. You could manually try editing the guy by clicking on him in the workshop, then pressing SHIFT D, and edit his skin so that it's one of K1T0's old skins, then changing the shader to Hanmen's skin shader. But if K1T0's skin isn't showing up in the options then I have no idea why.

The insect is part of the clothing, so if you change the character then you also change the clothes. You should change the character's body, face etc but not the clothes. Or you can just add the insect clothing after you change the whole character.
