Jaune's hope that he could catch up after just a few weeks of training was naive and something he had to be beaten out of.
Pyrrha easily deflected the blow and kicked Jaune in the gut, knocking him to the ground. Her partner gasped and heaved, sweat falling down his face in rivulets. "Yeah!" Jaune looked up at her. There was a fire in his eyes. A weak one, but a fire nonetheless, "I want to be a Huntsman more than anything."
"Then prove it." Pyrrha stepped back, giving him a chance to stand, "Prove that you want to be here and that you'll do anything to stay."
The spars continued for another hour. Jaune still failed to land a single hit on her, and that was while she kept Milo and Akuo sheathed. Pyrrha was used to dominating her opponents in the ring, and what had once brought her a sense of pride had long turned to apathy. She was never challenged, and victory simply became an expectation rather than something to be truly fought for and earned.
And yet the ease with which she dominated Jaune sent her heart fluttering. Seeing her partner - the man she adored - utterly helpless against her brought a thrill that couldn't be replicated. Pyrrha stood up and made her way to the nearby bench to ready herself. Jaune stood up shakily and followed her, his steps unbalanced. Without a word exchanged between them, Pyrrha raised her skirt and lowered her panties, exposing her quim.

"Do you?" Pyrrha raised a brow. A part of her realized that she was being cruel, but she knew it was necessary. She had to stamp out that sense of entitlement and pride that convinced him that being a fraud was a good idea, "Jaune, the only reason you're still here is because I'm helping you. You understand that, right?" She looked him in the eye.
"Y-Yeah, I know…" He looked away.
"Look at me, Jaune." She gently grabbed his chin and forced him to face her again, "You need me. Without my training, without me talking to Goodwitch, you would've already been expelled. Who else would've helped you? Weiss? Blake? Yang? Ren and Nora? Or maybe Ruby? I'm sure she'd try, but she wouldn't know how. She hasn't taught anyone before and she has a different weapon than you. Everyone else would've exposed you for what you did. No, the only person who can help you is me."
"I-I know that!" Jaune's face flushed, though he made no move to get away from her.
"If you want to be a Huntsman, Jaune, you have to earn it." She let go of him, "And that means letting go of your pride. You might think people like Yang or Cardin are cocky, and they are, but they earned their place here. If you want to stand alongside your fellow Huntsmen, you have to throw away your pride until you properly deserve it."
"Yeah. I'm working on it!'
"Good." She smiled, "We should take a shower now. Wash the sweat off."
They'd barely gotten inside the stall with the warm water dripping over them before they began the next part. At Pyrrha's raised brow, Jaune turned around and pressed his palms against the wall. "Honestly, I have no idea how he's lasted this long." Weiss scoffed. Jaune shut his eyes tight, shame mixing with the arousal at the heiress' cutting words, "Given his performance so far, I'm surprised he even made it through Initiation. I've seen better combat skills from militia recruits."
"Hey now, Weiss-cream. He's doing his best," Yang said, though the defense was half-hearted. She couldn't exactly disagree with Weiss, callous as her words were.
"'Doing your best' isn't good enough, Yang. We're training to be Huntsmen, the best of the best. There's a reason the standards are so rigid." Jaune's fists clenched. Sorry if this chapter ended up being kind of a re-tread. It was supposed to be the lead-up to the Hot Springs segment but ended up becoming a bit too long. The next chapter of this will have some Hot Springs sex and amazon pressing.

On the one hand Pyrrha getting this into domination is surprising but on the other hand she's definitely dipped her toes into it with how much she wrecked house in tournaments. Although I really believe that Pyrrha wants Jaune to become stronger there's also the fact that she relishes the power she has over him such as her standing over his kneeling form or his punishment for failing to strike her. Do I believe that she'll intentionally sabotage Jaune? No but I do believe that she'll slowly be ramping up how much strength she uses with him until eventually she realizes "Wow I wasn't holding back as much with that hit." To Jaune he'll still be stuck at the same level but to Pyrrha he'll be making great progress and giving her greater pleasure. Hopefully the White Fang pull something during the hot springs trip to pull team RWBY away since if Pyrrha is willing to do this in the shower there's no telling what she'll do at the hot springs.
