Yet another episode in the early years of the show that was written so that it could serve as a series finale if it didn't get picked up. (By the time it aired, NBC had ordered another 9 episodes, but when they produced it...) Michael Schur has said that the aerial shot of the the festival at the end (which was actually a real festival/carnival site on a college campus) is the most expensive shot in the entire show's history.
