So, I just realized something interesting: Purely from the score gained by clearing the Stage, he got 1240 points. With the speedrun bonus, he would be at 1390. If he had hard mode, and if it also doubles the achievement boni, he could get about 2800 fro clearing the first stage, plus about 800 points on top for collected Relics, putting him at 3600 points by teh end of the first stage. The reason this is important is that, supposedly, only 8 different General Upgrades exist after Stage 1. With each costing 300 points, and automatic re-rolls after taking one, it should cost and average of 600 points to get a specific General Upgrade. With 3600 points at his disposal, that means he can get a specific General Upgrade an average of 6 times after the first stage. Or in other words, he could get Luck an average of 6 times, which could get him over the uncommon threshold if he starts without any and 7 away from the Rare threshold if he starts with 5 Luck. (Assuming the rare Threshold is at 25 Luck as I suspect, and he always gets the lowest Rarity of the Luck upgrade possible.) Of course, those numbers only go up as he gets the permanent upgrade that increases the number of items shown in shops. Considering these numbers, I would actually say that upgrading the number of items shown in the shop might be stronger than upgrading the ability to save relics, considering its limitations. (Taking a cracked core and starting with the Fool is an outlier situation.) Still, taking advantage off and gaming the odds directly after the first Stage to get as much Luck as possible early (since in later Stages the number of General upgrades goes up, reducing the chances of Luck appearing.) on seems like the best move for early game in the future. Just imagine the result if he maximizes his points on the first Stage, starts with 5 Luck, and has upgraded the items number in the shop 4 times so all 8 General Upgrades available in the beginning appear. He could buy Luck 12 times, putting him at a minimum of... 5 + 10*2 + 2*3 = 31 Luck. It would leave him above 25 even IF he were to switch out of the Stat-block of whatever weapon let him start with 5 Luck.

I mean, I can understand it from meta standpoint to not give him all the information Emelia has. (Annoying exposition that takes out a large part of the discovery aspect.) But there is one pretty solid argument he could, and should, make to make her tell him. Namely, he will find out sooner or later anyways, and finding out now instead of later could mean that he saves himself a few loops, which means a few less Adams that will get deleted like "her" Adam.

Macronomicon

So...in theory...there's a universe out there where his whole family lives through some means or another? or at least a lot of them? Seems like that might become the goal and damn what Mr. Universe has to say about it.

They're honestly a lot of fun to write too.
