HDC Ver. 0.1 Progress Update #9 (with videos!)
🕑 Added 2025-04-01 02:45:37 +0000 UTCWelcome, friends, to HDC Update #9! While there's still a chunk of work to be done, I will try my best to get a (functional) Version 0.1 done and released in the next 2-3 weeks - ideally before the next update! So keep your eyes peeled now!
Similar to the last update, this one comes with a 1:30-minute-long video to help illustrate some of the gubbins I've been working on. Though the scene shown in the video is incomplete, it is functional!
Moving over to the pictures and the video in detail, a common feature I see in many RPGMaker games of this type is some sort of stealth segment. This, on occasion, involves the party/main character avoiding detection by hiding behind objects to accomplish a goal or reach a destination - that's what's being shown here with Mimi!
Once you move out from cover, Mimi will slowly start to detect you (indicated by the colored Mimi portraits in the top left), eventually resulting in her spotting you outright if you linger. You can reduce detection by hiding behind cover, such as the ink bottle or the books. Or you can stand out in the open and not hide at all - you do you. :p
Poach also got some attention these last two weeks, with her body exploration segment from the last update reaching a functional state, albeit with a bit of refining left to do. Additionally, she will have a completely separate (not body exploration) interaction on the victory branch that the player can choose to engage with if they wish.

This project has so much potential it's insane! I don't typically subscribe for long term but anything with M/m and especially M/m & Unaware absolutely deserves support. For sure looking forward to the day that Gale isn't able to slip away to patch up his pants! Hehe
