HDC Ver. 0.1 Progress Update #8 (with videos!)

Over the past two weeks, I've been working hard on weaving the two post-battle branches back into each other at a specific point, as I'd originally hoped to do. So far, most of the effort has gone into the defeat side of things, with the story finally progressing to a point where the player can move relatively freely again (as shown in the video!), however, I've been putting time into the victory branch as well.
Moving away from Rita, the focus this time is on Poach and the interactions you can have with her following your team's defeat! For this particular scene, after you meet back up with her, you're presented with a "Talk" option, in addition to an "Offer to Help" option.
Since this is the defeat branch, the "Offer to Help" option allows you to spend some time healing Poach of her injuries <3. This is what's being shown in the attached video. There's quite a lot more in this interaction, including some of the game's first truly "spicy" content, but I don't want to spoil the entire thing before it's released.
The "Talk" option, on the other hand, is a way for the player to learn more about Poach's backstory in a way that's casual and non-intrusive - you won't miss out on any critical lore by choosing this option. Rather, it exists to make Poach (and the world by extension) seem more real. There are currently 4 different small-talk topics you and Poach can chat about, should you choose to.
