The only question I care about is whether Alice will give him all the milk she's been able to pump so our kitty can give it away to his patrons?! =D

I applaud your clever artistic burying of the lede. None of the "convenient" obstructions come off as forced or really even draw the eye too much. True, some of us could guess where this is going, but its nice to have a slow build than to just rush into it.
