(Future Fragments) A sneak peek...
🕑 Added 2020-03-27 22:40:56 +0000 UTCAs we head towards starting up demos again as of April 7th, we wanted to show just a tiny, tiny portion of the huge amount of art that Triangulate's done for the True Final Boss.
Without disclosing spoilers directly, this is just one animation for the fight we wanted to show off, with size comparison of Talia's sprite nearby.

Currently, I'd say animation-loop-wise, that's about 1/30th of what we've gotten done so far and about 1/50th of what we've got planned that we won't be showing until the game comes out (so there's many more animations, backgrounds, etc. for this fight, many of which are way over the top compared to what's been shown prior in the game).
Given that one animation up above size-wise and that all of this is hand animated, no Spine or 3D models or anything else being used for skeletal structures, you can probably see why we said this fight would take longer and more effort than all the prior bosses put together.

Outside of that stuff, work on the boss and the game has been continuing like usual; Frouge and Triangulate are just pushing ahead on the boss, and I'm finishing off a few things related to the Steam release and other stuff for right now, as well as a few things for the boss fight too.
Expect another map making stream sometime this weekend, too!

As a final note, for everyone impacted financially by the Corona Virus stuff, we do understand if you have to unpledge for the time being; we don't want anyone ruining their financial stuff whatsoever, and we definitely still welcome you in the Discord server and appreciate all your support thus far, we'd never be upset or think bad of anyone for unpledging.

However, if you do have the financial capability to continue pledging to us, know that we heavily appreciate it as well.
That's not because we want to get money for ourselves, but because this game is our sole source of income, and with music and voicework production ramping up, it's going to be pretty hard to get the game out by August-October if we can't afford to commission said music, voicework, and sound effects while still keeping a roof over our heads.
So tl;dr; if you can't afford to pledge to us due to the pandemic, no hard feelings and we absolutely would not hold it against you because we'd never want anyone's finances to hurt because of pledging to us, but if you can continue to pledge and it won't hurt you financially at all, it'd help us be able to afford paying and commissioning all the people doing audio-work quickly and fairly as well.
And as always, thanks so much for all the support you've given us over the years; we really wanna finish this strong in 2020 at all costs, for all of you, and ourselves as well.

Don't worry guys, it won't hurt me financially, but I'm going to up the ante like i said i was thinking about in my last little comment. I'm in a fortunate position and haven't stopped working and am actually about to make more money; but seeing the struggle around definitely makes me want to make sure you'll all be able to pull through all right. thanks again for all you do, and don't push yourselves too hard!
