🕑 Added 2015-09-29 16:52:28 +0000 UTC Just wanted to let you all know we're still working hard on the game; Cheshire is trying his best to get the Fire demo out before the 1st of October, but worst case scenario, it might take a day or two past the 1st to get it out.As far as the Ice Level Patron-Only demo, once all the pledges have went through, we'll be sending those to you through your PATREON ACCOUNT EMAILS, so whatever email you REGISTERED with Patreon on, that's where the demo will go.
It won't be anything mind-blowing, to be fair, it'll be just the bare Ice Level levels with placeholders for the gimmick objects (icicles and breakable bridges), with no enemies and the same sounds as the current demo, etc.
But the NEXT month's Patron-only demo will ideally have an enemy or two in it, more of the tiles done, possibly a gimmick or two in, etc.
Once the Fire Level demo's done, Cheshire will start on converting the game to C++, etc. and making a better editor; the current editor will still be sent out to $50 and $150 tier people once all the pledges have went through also, to note.

Right, yeah, once all the pledges are through I'll send out the Ice Demo to everyone; again, I note it's REALLY bare bones, but it's something as we shift from the Fire Demo to the Ice Demo :)

I haven't gotten any emails regarding updates in the longest time from any project. I've also noticed that the follow system is pretty much broken at the moment since it doesn't save any new changes. In addition, I've had projects I previously followed vanish from my list despite me currently supporting them all the while leaving me unable to follow them again after the fact.
Ah, I see; that's great news to hear! As for the information regarding the future demos, I appreciate the clear-up as the language was vague enough to cause some confusion since tomorrow begins the new month and, in turn, new round of charges.

The day I did that post, he actually found the problem and fixed it, so he's been working on the GM version ever since, pretty much. Literally the only thing left is just the last Soldier cutscene, and then everything else should be good to go :) The Ice Level demo is going out to everyone who pledged at the appropriate tier (i.e. $5 or above) in September, and every month thereafter (i.e. each month we'll be releasing an in-progress Ice Demo until the level's done, and then for the Electric level, Earth, etc.)

I thought Cheshire began converting the game to C++ two weeks ago after the issue was unable to be resolved due to GameMaker's limitations? In any event, I'm very excited to hear that the finalized Fire Level demo is on the last stretch to completion! As for the Ice Level demo, will the first release be issued to those who pledged at the appropriate tier in September or those who will be pledging in October?

I haven't been receive any patreon emails, did the site just change? Normally I would get an email whenever a post like this appears and I've missed the last 3, I'm a patient person so it wasn't a big deal. But I lose the convenience of checking on updates when they happen.

It's all good, folks! Looking forward to seeing that updated demo at last. (I actually recall HW saying he wouldn't pop back in unless it was to announce the demo, but hey, good to see him actually giving us a heads-up on the project. ^_^)
