Preview of 2021 Comics Lineup
🕑 Added 2020-11-07 16:53:47 +0000 UTCWith Banished ending I have to start setting up the ground work for the comic that'll be replacing it. Ultimately I won't be handling the illustration duties for this next series, but here are some of the character designs I'm working on!
It's going to be an action adventure with a bit of humor, as per my preference in comics. ;D
I won't disclose the tentative titles for this series yet, but here are the stars of the new project:
Timber and his cousin, Frostbite (codenames) are the new heroes keeping watch of their city, Fortunegard, in the aftermath of the epic defeat of the malicious Dr. Carmine.
Dr. Carmine's lieutenants, The Power Five, pick up where their master left off and that's how our story will begin.
Inspiration for the series stem from cartoons of the 90s, including Gargoyles, and even contemporary shows like the recent Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The plan is for this comic series to launch immediately after the final Banished page updates, but since I don't precisely know when that is I'll just say hopefully it'll be up late spring, or summer. More on that late!
Next some might be wondering why I've been awfully quiet with Funny Farm. That's because we're almost at the end of the original strips, but the original ending is very unsatisfactory. Did I want to rewrite the ending? Yes, but I don't want to write strips anymore. That made way to the decision of soft-rebooting Funny Farm and continuing where we left off, but in a comic book style! This one will also be illustrated by others; here's a sneak peak at the designs:
This series will be an adventure like Ducktales and Gravity Falls. It'll have nods to what happened in the previous incarnation to Funny Farm, but really this project will be its own identity.
Anyway, if you've noticed things being a little slow it's because I'm concentrating on these two projects behind the scenes. ;D
