Weekly News - Kiddos and polishing...
🕑 Added 2024-04-17 20:41:31 +0000 UTCHi guys!
Firstly, sorry for the slight delay with the news. I was going to make a post on Monday, but a series of things took my focus. Basically... What's going on and where are we?
Answer - Polishing the whole game. But that means... The entire game.
Yes, as you know, I'm polishing and editing all the game's content into new text-boxes, and that means converting 1 million words into a new format. But I don't just use a command in my editor and replace markings, I need to organize each passage and each line in the game, and edit where necessary.
So yes, it's a slightly slower process than I expected... But it's progressing, and along with that, I continue to add some new events here and there, according to the needs and suggestions of our players.
And more great news, guys... I've been talking to Anshiin and our players recently. On the issue of parental content and how we move forward with the game. Our idea so far... We plan to reduce the number of children with each girl to 2 to 3, this will allow for some very interesting perks, and will make things more manageable.
Artworks for all kids. Yes, as our kids are unique characters, I want them to have a face.
More events/complexity for kids. This allows us to give them more art and events, because, like I said, 2-3 kids is pretty manageable. (And it will avoid causing burnout in Anshiin... xP)
Artworks for family events are one of the goals of the game, they are highly cute, and I want to add them as soon as possible!
L&C's basic premise is to create a family, be a father and live it in the most lovely way possible. So everyone on our server seemed fine with it. We gave up a little on the numbers for much more depth and colors.
Here is a small example of Anshiin's family arts...
Yes, basically family events with everyone together. I want to expand the story of our kiddos, much more love and sweetness, I will cover you with maternal honey.
Ahhh and speaking of artwork, here's a peek at our Lauryn... Lisbeth's second daughter. In these new plans, Lisbeth will have 3 kids, but they will all be treated as the firstborn, even receiving a page on the wiki. Basically, full canons...
Lisbeth's second child... Like I said, all them will have an artwork now. Beautiful... But guys, if you want to say or suggest something, pls comment. I'm always there to listen to what you have to say. It is thanks to you and your generous support that we can work so hard, and do so many things for L&C. For this you always have our thanks... Sincerely.
But that's basically it, guys. This is taking a while as I'm changing and polishing the structure of the entire game into the new text-boxes. This should make the game easier to read, and bring us one step closer to a VN, I think.
Ahh and one last artistic peek... Plans for a new event with Devyn, our son with Renee. Even more lovely...
That's the lovely news for now, guys... Much more focus on fatherly content and fatherly artwork. Truly lovely stuff, which makes our game pretty unique.
I want the next post to be the update, and again, sorry for the delay with this. Converting the textual script to textboxes has really been a pain for me. xP
