I have some suggestions on making vanillylamine but I don't know where to post them. Should it be here, in the comments section of your Anisole video, or through private message?

I really want to do the total synth. There is just one step that is hard though. Making vanillylamine. I found a method but it makes phosgene as a side product. I'll need a proper fumehood to deal with that

I'm not going to try the mechanism question in this video, since I'm not quite that good yet. Is there a possibility of doing a total synthesis of capsaicin in the works? If not, can I nominate?

Regarding your end question, you first say "I'll feature the person who has the best answer", "whoever is first to give what I think is a good answer will be the winner". I think the reward should to the best answer not the first answer as the best answer will surely be more interesting. Also please consider making more "technique" videos !

We've all read about Teflon and of accedental vulcanizing but to read about bakelite and after a flask was left in the sink as waste only to find sunlight had change the chemicals to plastic...if I remember correctly.

Another great episode. I m looking forward the the N2O episode. I also read and watch history of chemical development. Some seem kind of unbelievable. Any interest in testing some of these claims of wildly successful claims? Cheers
