SoW2: Priority List Interaction
🕑 Added 2018-07-30 20:09:20 +0000 UTC OK, so I have built out the Policies (Tech Tree) and am now working on the Priority List NPCs. Just a refresher on the game design doc-- the Priority List includes celeb-level Minion females from 4 different classes-- A List- Royal Family, B List- politicians, C List- Sports/athletes, D List- all others (media, entertainment, etc). While minion resources are in the game and you do need to harvest and use them to enact certain policies. structures, etc, the are anonymous. The Priority List is a more personalised way to enjoy the Spoils of War. Right now there are 33 of them, all with different values. They are hard to get initially and unless you really plan to acquire them, they won't be 'collectable' until the late game. And yes, we can always add more!Similar to SOTU, you can send them to the Harem (adds Power), Gift them (increases Minister loyalty), Ransom them (get cash), Execute them (reduce resistance) or Display them publicly (increases approval). I have about 10 different scenes for each state, slightly different enough to assist with replay. It is a lot of scene design but since I knocked the template out, it was easy enough to start producing them. I am about finished with the Royal Family and will move on to the rest over the next few weeks.
My thinking is that DLC will come in the form of Priority List characters that will include more content and game play options. The first will be the Foreign Correspondent, who herself will be a Class D Priority List candidate. These will be commissioned and feature Live Model talent. We're down that track already.
I think this is a pretty key part of the game. It will be satisfying to fight, defeat and administer the new nation notionally but the visceral piece will be in collecting and disposing of the Priority List NPCs. Unlike SOTU, it won't be easy and there will be more varied outcome possibilities. The Big Question I have for you is this: what more would you like in the interaction with the Priority List NPCs? What else might you like to do with them? Use your imagination-- you're a ruthless revolutionary who has/is overthrowing the Old Order and now have access to the most beautiful women in the nation awaiting your judgement on how they will best serve the Revolution. Now what?
