It was definitely a dumb move for Dan. Taking out a guy that soon is not even giving him a chance to grow on you. And this is Bananas’ point. Dan took him out like there was a beef Bananas wasn’t aware of.

I think Dan maybe saw Bananas as a volatile agent he couldn’t work with, if I had to defend him some. He didn’t kill CT after all, so I don’t think it was some sort of challenger male jealousy. That said, there is discourse to be had on if in hindsight, keeping bananas in was the better thought for Dan.
