Character Creation Tutorial featuring Clementine - in development!
🕑 Added 2025-01-30 16:18:37 +0000 UTCSo, you’re probably wondering why it’s been a little quieter on the character creation front—well, the project revolving around this fair lady was the reason!
Fiasco and I are thrilled to announce we are working on an exciting new tutorial series, designed to help you master the character creator.
Instead of overwhelming you with loads of information all at once, we decided to take a more hands-on approach and we will take you along the creation process of Clementine, our next upcoming character!
What to Expect:
The tutorial series will be released in two segments, each featuring 4–5 videos packed with general guidance, tips and tricks.
Segment 1:
Perfect for beginners, the first segment covers all the essential tools and pre-installed features of the character creator to get started. You’ll learn how to work with body types, sliders, and adjustables; add features like tails, ears, and other parts; and use the Layer and Mask system to create custom color patterns for your character and everything connected to it.
Segment 2:
The second half delves into advanced techniques for taking your character to the next level. We’ll guide you through using Blender to either modify assets and clothes already made by others, create skintight outfits from the character mesh and design clothing from scratch with Simply Cloth Pro.
For an alternative workflow, we’ll also touch on Marvelous Designer.
You’ll also learn how to create custom hairstyles with curves, rig parts, and add physics to make them dynamic in FurryVNE. Finally, we’ll explore texturing programs like Substance Painter to show you how to add striking detail and polish to your assets.
We’re excited to share this journey with you, and we can’t wait to see what amazing characters you’ll create using these tutorials.
Stay tuned for Clementine’s debut and the launch of this series!
