Oh, the painting is Peter Paul Reubens' depiction of the common theme of "Roman Charity" (which many artists depicted, see Wikipedia) and the engraving of the skeletons is by Frederik Ruysch, who did lots of stuff in a similar vein.

What are the painting and... lithograph? used in the cartoon? Those skeletons...
