Sad new. Worst day of free speech in the 21st century Japan history.
According to the newest Pixiv regulation. It is forbidden after this month, due to the international payment companies, to make guro content on the FANBOX. It also affects all the other Japanese paid platforms including Booth, FANZA, DLsite, etc.
This is a pretty huge impact on me and all the guro creators. Twitter Japan's top trending is all about this news at this moment. It is obviously an oppression of the minority groups who enjoys fantasy creations. However, I think the most important thing is to preserve and keep on creating.
Since the ban only affects paid platforms, not Pixiv itself, I can see several solutions for myself already: 1 - I can leave FANBOX and find another platform. 2 - I can go make vanilla hentai. 3 - I can publish all content, including on Pixiv for free then take a break. I don't hate vanilla hentai but it never thrills me, and I don't have the energy to seek another shelter asap. So I guess I will just back up the FANBOX, shut it for a while, and publish free content, including anything I make this month, LOL.

So here's what I'm gonna do.
First I think I will not post new stuff on FANBOX from now on. So please download anything you could get ASAP. The ban will begin after Dec 15th, but I will set everything to private at the end of this month, you will not be able to see the content after that. I will also delete all the subscription options by then. Next I will post this month's crap on Pixiv so everyone can still get something. Then I will begin my break and perhaps post unpublished stuff later. (It may not be necessary since they are all leaked everywhere lol)
I can not tell what will be next. The good news is my love for guro will continue to live on and I definitely will draw things. The bad news is that I worry about the future of the entire hentai community. I am also considering opening a public Discord channel(for me to find friends to play Elden Ring of course), or if anyone knows a good server already, please let me know through the message.
What a sad day. Will update other news and info later. So far, just go download the crap! Go!

I think it might still be too early to know for sure what the policy update is going to do to this kind of art. The policy that affects us states No: ・Rape (or any other non-consensual sexual behavior) ・Non-consensual mutilation of a person or body part It's pretty clear they don't want non consensual content. It's not completely out there to say that all content portrayed is consensual, weather it looks it or not. It's all fictional. I've already updated my page to say that, and I guess I'll just see what happens from there. subscribestar.adult seems like a good alternative for the moment. I haven't seen anything pulled from there yet. I post there more anyway since I don't have to censor anything.

Subscribestar is a good option, their payment options would likely not be an issue for guro creators. Also in favor of option 3 if you need a break, but no need for option 2 if it's not something that drives you
