So you are just objectively wrong the world building of one piece is almost unrivaled and there over arching story is unmatched by a lot of other shonen. And if you want to talk about predictable than almost every story is predictable good guys win at the end of every arc just like how in other shows and movies anime and live action will win in the end.

Asking One Piece fans if the anime is any good is like asking opioid addicts if they think heroin is any good. lol One Piece is very formulaic. It's has very rinse and repeatable plot points, with predictable outcomes. Although some would claim it a master opus. Reviled only by the Bible or Dante's Inferno. Of course, in reality, this is an anime written for teen boys. So it just has to please those of that mindset, which it seems to do in spades. One Piece is good. But it's oversold by the fan base.

The show isn't peak until about 200 ep in, but the show leading up to it is still very good. When I first watched it, I only saw the first 20 or so ep as a slog, and then it got good from there.
