yes yes yes!!!! never saw kill la kill but yue other two :) I still have my sekirei blurays ! only thing negative about strike the blood I seem to remember was one of the main characters had a catch phrase like 'let's get it done' or something that was used way too often. other than a very serviceable ecchi action show.

Yeah they skipped that entire young devils scene that explains the tournament at the party in the anime unfortunately. They skipped the reasoning you talked about due to cutting out that scene. Even the Rating Game that was held between Rias and Sona was completely cut out. It’s never shown at all and I wish they at least made it into an OVA or something.

I don't know why they didn't explain it but every so often, they hold this huge tournament between the young devils and the winners are designated as candidates to substitute the devil kings in case something happens to them. Sirzechs and the cosplayer random girl were designated the same way. So that's why the training and all that tension between the young devils. Also, about the free piece the blonde girl was talking about is essentially a piece that doesn't have a master. So she is officially part of her mother's family but looking for a partner. She is basically telling Issei to take her with him once he becomes a high-rank devil.
