If you want an actual follow up to part 4, the mangaka actually made a short story for it, it has sadly not been animated, but who knows, either way, it is worth reading: "Dead Man's Questions" (( and yes, this is officially part of part 4. )) It is quite easy to locate.

Every reactor I've watched has always been like "What? Ghosts and Aliens in this world, that's crazy?!" when the series literally started with Vampires and Zombies, I mean...come on!

A thing to remember for all the moment where a character just "stands" there instead of acting. You have to keep in mind that in manga, a single panel can have tons of dialogues and it happens instantly as the image is still. But in the anime adaptation you have the same amount of dialogues turned into a 30 seconds sequence. So when a character is standing there not moving, technically time doesn't pass. It's just things that happens with anime adaptation that is less noticable with original anime.
