Luke the kid said Ocky was dead multiple times and his soul was leaving his body. Also Josuke started crying when he said Ocky wasn't dead and it was similar to his grandfather's death when he repaired his body so he they were saying he potentially could be dead

Kira had a whole conversation with Hayato during the second time line's breakfast trying to figure out who Bites the Dust killed the first time around, even saying "If you're acting this way, Bites the Dust must have activated."
