Calamity Queen
🕑 Added 2025-11-18 00:49:54 +0000 UTC The battle for Grancel Palace had driven Queen Alicia to desperation. Standing at the balcony’s edge, she clutched the ancient royal artifact. It was an heirloom never meant to be used except in the gravest of crises. Believing the moment had finally come, she invoked its dormant power. The world answered too strongly. In an instant, Alicia grew. Not gracefully, not gradually, she burst upward in scale, her body expanding past human limits, past comprehension, until she towered hundreds of thousands of miles above Zemuria. A silhouette so vast it could be seen from every nation, blotting out sky and horizon. The transformation was so sudden that she lost her balance... And she fell backwards. The impact was an extinction-level disaster. Her descent ended 12,907 lives beneath her, swallowed almost soundlessly beneath the immensity of her seated form. Anyone who wasn't in the direct impact of her rear were subsequently killed by the massive shockwaves and landslides that followed. Her bare left foot slammed down next. 1,479 more lives snuffed out beneath a single unconscious shift of weight. Her right foot followed with another 2,091. Trying to stabilize herself, Alicia planted her left palm. 1,682 lives winked out beneath her left palm. Her right hand swept blindly through the landscape, the gesture of someone simply trying to catch herself. 5,252 erased in an instant. Yet at her size, Alicia felt nothing. No tremors, no resistance, no screams. Only confusion, disorientation, and a chilling, helpless stillness as she stared down at the plains; at a world so tiny it blurred into texture. She had no idea what she’d done. No idea what she was now. Far below, Joshua, Estelle, and Kloe stood in mute shock. They could not grasp her shape, her face, her identity. Only a horizon spanning wall of flesh and fabric that reached beyond sight. The Queen they knew was gone, replaced by a colossus too vast to comprehend.
