New Addition 1: Finished script āļø
I finally finished the first draft of the script after many starts and scraps. The word count for this chapter is around 2k right now, so it's not the longest chapter, but I think it will be a nice way to end the first part of the Succubus Simulator game :) It doesn't tie together all the strings, but I think it will be a comfortable place to leave things for a while.
Oh gee, this project has been my longest running so far, and I've definitely spent the most time on it, so this is a pretty new experience for me.
Anyway, this chapter will be less focused on sex and more lore/relationship-driven. It will also have a fighting mini-game hopefully (Angel VS Demon, who will win??), so let's see how I do that. I don't think I've ever really programmed a fighting game before? That's wild.
New Addition 2: Started working on background art and... šļø
While drawing this background, I was simultaneously thinking of how the heck I'm going to create the fighting mini-game. I considered making it a turn-based combat system, but that seems...pretty hard? Maybe something more akin to Space Invaders. We'll see. The problem is that the mini-game has to work on touch screen devices and computers, so input methods are a little more limited. Hmmmmmm...brain cogs start turning.
New Addition 3: Started working on mini-game š®
I programmed this very basic prototype of the mini-game. Perhaps something like this, but with some different attacks by the angel thrown in. I don't want the fight to be too difficult, because Succubus Simulator isn't a fighting game, but I don't want it to be laughably easy either. I'm excited to draw some real assets for it! :D
