New Addition 1: The rest of it
I always say this, but this chapter really did take a lot longer than I thought it would. Part of it was that I hate ending projects, another is that I kept running into very weird bugs.
For instance:
This error I got while trying to open my project after downloading an update for my game engine did make me quit for a few days, lol, but then it magically fixed itself so...yay?
But anyway, as usual, most of the things I had to do to finish the chapter were the unglamorous bits, like proofreading, debugging, making sure all the little details (morale/lust numbers, date, etc) and player appearance layers were correct, adding menus/instructions/buttons/music to the battle section.
I was able to get the Windows exe export to work again, which is neat since it kept crashing when I tried to export it last time.
I also added a lil scene at the end with Dr.Barlowe because I felt bad just leaving his condition completely unknown. And somehow it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the chapter, lol.
Oh! And I have no idea if the battle in this chapter is too easy/hard, so let me know what you think. I kind of feel like it should lean too easy rather than too difficult, right? Also, I think the battle is way easier on laptop than on mobile, so if you have any trouble, maybe try that?
Future plans:
Alright, so, what happens now that Succubus Simulator is done (for now)? Well, I'm going to start posting early access chapters for my SFW webcomic Are We Engaged? here weekly as well as early access to my erotica Soft Drop chapters monthly as was voted for by Patrons.
To prepare for this, in the next few weeks I will:
See if I can re-do my site (in React probably), which includes the blog homepage as well as all Soft Drop pages, Are We Engaged? site, etc. This will help me update the erotica & add images more easily in the future, as well as make the site run better.
Go back and make some changes to Soft Drop so that it is more consistent with the Are We Engaged lore/universe & plan ahead so that both stories are happening at the same time.
Umm....yeah! I think those are the next steps.
Things are ending, and things are beginning. That is the beautiful cycle of the creative process. Thank you for sticking around, and I hope to see you in my future ventures as well :'D Please note that things might be a little disorganized to start with since I need to get things in order and ready, but hopefully it will stabilize quickly.

Can I just say I loved everything about this chapter β€οΈ the tense dialogue between Nora and the angel, Dr Barlow making his guard angel probably question his own sanity, the texts especially had me fanboying, the adorable ass end screen, all of it c: now one thing I wanted to mention, I did have to retry on mobile and Iβm not sure if this was intended or not, I took 2 tries to defeat the angel, the part where he was throwing a bunch of swords was challenging but fun, but I did definitely take most of my damage in that part (which is fine!) then I got in a groove during the dive bombing section. When I hit retry, the angel went right back to dive bombing instead of throwing the swords like in the beginning of try 1, and Iβm not sure if thatβs intended or not so I wanted to bring it to your attention

Thank you so much for all the stuff you make. I can't wait to play chapter 7 If you're not sure about React for your website yet, I can recommend checking out Solid.JS. It follows a similar design philosophy to React, but makes you write code more explicitly where React just kinda.. applies some magic and then it works somehow. Both are good, just a matter of preference tbh. Again, thanks, I'm looking forward to all the other stuff you make <3

There won't be big changes, just small things like making sure dates (like what year it is, what year something big happened, etc) line up correctly and stuff like that. It wouldn't really change your experience of Soft Drop I don't think if you read it now or later :3
