Bad ending is obviously the biggest problem in endings. No the journey does not make it worth it if the ending is bad. Even worse is authors changing the ending to suit fans. Harry Potter is utter trash, but at least the ending the story sets up would have been better than the actual autism we got. Granted, JKR is a worse author than my toddler, so it's not surprising.
