I made it to Minnesota
🕑 Added 2023-06-11 18:17:56 +0000 UTCIt’s been such a long trip but I’m enjoying my visit. I’m taking four fox pups from SaveAFox in Minnesota. These pups were pulled from a fur farm for various reasons and those reasons have luckily spared their lives. I’ll be keeping at least one of these babies. In my previous post about him I mentioned he had an eye defect like Fig, but since his infection has cleared it seems as though he actually has a nearly fully functioning eye which is a nice surprise! The other two female kits will be fosters, unless they just fall into place once we get back to the sanctuary in Florida. The additional male kit and the mink I’ll be taking are going to PawsAndClaws of Florida. Since I was coming up to Minnesota anyway, I offered to transport her babies back for her.

I think she’ll be tolerant of females while they’re babies, but I don’t see her being able to be housed with another female. If I do keep the females, they’re going to be part of separate groups with either finch or fern and I most likely won’t allow them to interact with Juniper

I had the privilege of touring SaveAFox a few summers ago—they’re truly amazing there! Is “little fig” one of the tailless kits they just rescued? He’s adorable! Also, I know you touched briefly on the topic when Lark was with you, but is Juniper much more unlikely to “accept” a female kit into her home as compared to a male? Or do you think she’d be more tolerant in this situation since the fosters are still babies?

Omg the coloring on these babies is so cool!!! The feisty girl looks like she has a villian moustache 🤣🤩 I hope everything works out the way you want it, Fern needs a friend with him. ❤️ Also, what was that other animal called? It sounded like fissure 🤔 he was adorable!
