Finch and Fig - Fox Social Dynamics
🕑 Added 2023-07-10 19:01:08 +0000 UTCFinch loves the other adult foxes and I’ve always hopped that they would eventually accept him. Fig who is typically the calmest and sweetest in demeanor was always my first pick for friendship, so it surprised me when Fig never accepted Finch, but Juniper did.
Now, 3 years later, Fig occasionally acts like he’s going to befriend Finch. I put them together every few months to see if things will be different. This was by far the longest they had been together without fighting, but alas Fig took advantage of Finch’s submission. Fox body language can sometimes be difficult to read. Did you notice the warning signs?

I wonder if all the energy from the other foxes and the dog got them hyped up? One of my dogs used to do transfer aggression and it took a long time to reverse that behavior. Do foxes do that?
