In a shocking twist, the one who was kidnapped in the original sample adventure was NOT a chicken.
I imagine this would have been a more difficult decision for Ellen if she'd entirely come up with the adventure herself, but they're just playing the example adventure from the manual that she wasn't terribly fond of anyway, so... Yeah.
Easy choice.

I refuse to believe that. Maybe the supplied adventure didn't *admit* that the mayor's daughter was a chicken. But she was *always* a chicken. The rulebook publisher simply did not want to admit that the mayor had that particular kink and knew how to talk with chickens well enough to get consent and be certain it was real.
