Accusations that this is just something I wanted to draw are ludicrous, and I will not stand for them no matter how correct they might be.
Part of me wanted Larry to let out a "KYAAAA!", because if anime has taught me anything, adding a "k" sound to a scream is potentially cute beyond logic for reasons unknown to modern science.
But limited panel space, yadda yadda yadda, settled on "eep!"
I also intended to leave part of Larry's hair white, implying it hadn't changed color with the rest of it. I felt the contrast was too strong, however, and I cared more about the darkness of the rest of the hair than keeping that bit the same.

Luke has every right to be bothered by involuntary transformation (though past Q&A strips have asserted that the cast members sign comprehensive waivers concerning magical shenanigans before appearing in a Q&A strip). I was more thinking of Luke's general response to all of this set of Q&A strips so far. Luke is coming across as generally not comprehending most of the questions.

I dunno. Personally, I feel Luke has a right to be bothered by Larry objecting to something Larry did causing an effect to happen to Larry instead of Luke, when Luke had not necessarily signed up to receive the effect in question. I've felt similarly, even when it the expected effect was something that I'd have happily experienced, if I was asked about it in advance. A lot of us don't like surprises and greatly prefer explicit consent.

Dan, I'm not sure I can agree with you there. Example: Sydney of Grrlpower, aka Halo. I'm a fan of more normal builds, so it's not really surprising to me that Sydney sans glasses is not at all appealing to me. But Sydney with her big glasses (especially the new alien tech ones) is at least a blip. She's still not what I'd consider attractive, but she's clearly more attractive to me with those big glasses than without. Or by a cartoon do you mean ala Loony Toons?

unless it's not dropped if you intend to catch it.

I notice that the change is happening when the hat is dropped, not when it hits the ground... So if you get a form you don't like, just keep dropping the hat from one hand into the other until you get a form you do like. Of course this doesn't really speed things up if you want to take the time to consider the pros and cons of your new form...

That's really funny. :) But the real question is if Larry will stay TF'ed for the rest of the story.

If this weren't a wrong answer, I could see someone dashing around Moperville tossing hats with reckless abandon. Also, that is a positively adorable form.

Hmm... Yeah, I think I can endorse this transformation

I think normal glasses almost always look good. For cartoon characters, they have to be ineffectually small for some reason. I don't make the rules.

This proves that Dan thinks any glasses can turn sexy, not just something for Ted's glasses (which are never your average pair).

Is that hat available for sale somewhere? Asking for a friend, of course.

...who made the magic hat?! Tedd? Non-Canon Mall Gremlin with a Mustache? OH RIGHT THAT WOULD JUST RAISE MORE QUESTIONS shutting up now.

Luke seems to be having a case of Sam the American Eagle. ("you're all weirdos")
