Commentary
A unicorn I am declaring as canon, no less, regardless of how this story winds up getting defined canon-wise!
Comparatively speaking, however, not a big unicorn.
Granted, that might not be fair. I'm comparing this unicorn to actual horses, and let's be clear on this, horses are BIG.
Maybe unicorns, in general, are little! Which would, of course, make them ponies! So, perhaps, one could argue that this character is my little--

@John Clary You've not been paying attention to what Disney's lawyers have been up to. Or what No 1 U know said.

There was a horse in the Casper universe named Nightmare, so the copyright on that one expired decades ago.

Przewalski's Horse (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Przewalski%27s_horse) is smaller, but new evidence suggest that they may actually be feral. *Wonders if the Wild Animal Park in San Pasqual (now San Diego Zoo Safari Park) has the updated scoop*

I'm pretty sure I've seen one mythology which had unicorns that were exactly the size of goats. Just saying, so you know.

I daresay that unicorn is absolutely anatomically correct for him. You just can't see the bits you feel are important. Let me assure you that we can see all the bits that really matter. Please, move along, there's nothing more that needs to be seen here.
Unicorns being smaller than horses does make sense. From what I've heard the horses we have now are largely the result of domestication and breeding- and wild horses are (or at least were) originally smaller.

This pun is definitely Public Domain since it goes back to 1781 at least https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nightmare

Nah. Puns are Public Domain. Or should be, IMHO. Also, I think the D&D nightmare (first edition MM, she goes back to!) may possibly predate the Pier Xanthony version.
Lee Jackson
I'm glad it isn't a Nightmare. That would be treading onto Piers Anthony's stomping grounds.

I think Dan wouldn't draw an anatomically correct unicorn anyway. Insofar as a mythical creature *has* a "correct" form.

Yeah, THAT could be fun! ;)

Actually sad this wasn't Luna now...

What are you talking about? He Cleary identifies as male. Hence he refers to himself as ‘Stallion’.
Paul Rendell
Depending on the source of the mythology, some versions of unicorns are only slightly larger than goats.

You know very well that while sexual characteristics are correlated, they are not deterministic of gender ^-^
Opus the Poet
And naturally Susan's hammer makes it impossible to confirm the gender of the dream magic unicorn.
