They do look similar, and some people genuinely can't help having trouble with faces.
But I hope pointing out pointy bangs for Diane can help.
And triangles.

As a personal favor, please don't joke to me about not being able to tell them apart? If sincere, fair enough, but I want to actually know if people are having trouble and why. I see this as a problem I am trying to solve, and I require accurate data for SCIENCE!!!!!!!!!

I feel like I can tell them apart easily enough but those are some neat key differences. Alternatively, Susan, Sarah, and Diane chasing each other with remotes because "There can only be one" resulting in a Jeremy, an MV5 and a winner would be funny

I'm much more likely to see "oh, Susan has cut and dyed (undyed?) her hair". A moment's thought fixes it, but I still expect to see Susan more often than I expect to see Diane.

If Sarah had the slightly longer hair of her past look, I imagine the confusion wouldn't be as prevalent

Diane is sharp, Sarah is round. Susan is taller than Diane. Tedd is shorter than the 6th tallest shive member, but is not the shortest. I feel like I've got a third of the clues for a logic puzzle.

I honestly have no idea why people have trouble telling them apart. But then, I've never had trouble telling anyone in the comic apart.

The issue for me at least isn't so much that they look alike as that when I see short blonde hair in the comic my brain automatically says Sarah because short haired Diane is still too new to be established as a possibility.
