I do like that in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the guards actually do look for you for a fair while. They actually notice dead guards and raise the alert. They also abandon their posts to search everywhere to find you :P But they don’t notice if one of their number walks into the bush you are hiding in, Screams, drops into the bush, and doesn’t come out. It’s just “Oh, what’s that, better check it out”

And remember, if you are hiding in a bush, they can’t see you, and won’t catch on how dangerous you are no matter how many guards have been “eaten” by the bush.
