Groundskeeper Rhoda in more ways than one, and Susan continues to have none of what she's supposed to be expressing in this cutscene.
This is not what happens in Fable 2, but there's a lot in common. In that game, the hero of... Swole? Probably strength, but let's go with swole. The hero of swole isn't happy with their life of pacifism, bad guys show up and do a very bad thing, and she essentially reacts with "yeah, I'm grabbing a giant hammer and seeing all the evils of the world as nails, now".
So not terribly different, really, but I didn't want to just copy that with an air of exaggeration and call it parody.
I wanted to have Rhoda's decision reflect Susan's choices, and have the scene play out in a way that reflects what might happen with a player character who's only technically evil while having done a lot of beneficial things. I like the implication that recruiting Rhoda could have gone very differently, and how it could have played out would have depended on Susan's choices.
Basically, I'm suggesting there are ways one can make choices feel important even if one's got a bit of a railroad plot. Yes, recruiting Rhoda is essential, but there's still a lot that can be done with it.
Well, that, and it was just more fun to write it this way.

I think Rhoda looks a bit like the bodybuilder type here, no? Admittedly, it's usually not women who have hairy abs. Edit: Or do I just think that because all of the women with hairy abs that I've seen waxed them before I saw them?

She's a priestess. Of course she has magic.

One thing I liked about Hammer's recruitment was that it was obvious she hadn't chosen that life of pacifism for herself, but had it forced on her by her adoptive father (the abbot of the "Good" temple), so it was also a good lesson in finding your own path and not letting your parents dictate your life choices. I mean, you're introduced to her while she's relaxing on some sacred ruin's wall, getting comfortably drunk while singing... what is actually a pretty nice song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDE86G1PtOs

I love that sort of "this is obviously not what the devs were thinking, but it makes this one bit of the story so much more interesting than before, so I'm going to expand my headcanon beyond the confines of the map for the sake of fun" stuff.

I think that's all Rhoda. :) Though if she wants to become a magic-using monk with a bunch of touch-range spells, I'd like that.
Otter Annason
looks like she has a bit of magic power too?

Don't mess with the girl abs! :-)

I think you can wax anywhere you've got hair, and some people do get hair on their bellies. (Yes, I can still call that area a belly even if they've got abs.) But I'm guessing only body-builder types would be the ones getting their abs waxed regularly.

I think waxing is just for hairy parts.

Great page! But you forgot the page number in the Patreon post title. :)

I'd wax those abs.... Wait, is waxing abs a thing people do? I'm not sure, as I've never had abs.

...wow. Swole Rhoda was not something I knew I needed in my life but wooooooow. I know who’ll be in my bonus art suggestions for the next year or so now. :)

Hammer is my fave in Fable. Just because Hammer. And yeah, she's the Hero of Strength. Edit: but I like Hero Of Swole better. :)
