Well, you know; Susan *does* canonically like to watch... (I don't actually expect polyamory to be the solution to the triangle, but Dan's on the short list of writers I'd trust to do character development like that and it make sense for the characters)

Andrea Andrew

Ashley falling in love with Susan?! In the actual comic, that might solve the love triangle with Elliot.

Some Ed

Of course, Tedd doesn't know Ashley well enough to understand his assertion meant this. I'm not sure Elliot knows Ashley well enough to understand this. Liz knows Ashley well enough to say that, but I don't think Tedd invited her. DOOMED! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!

Thanks for the clarification. Since the last comic was all about showing potions' effects while they were also being described, I figured the same thing was happening here.

I have a theory that, if I post both comics at the same time at, or close, to on time, they get less comments. Also, not-Ashley isn't glomping Susan or anything. That would probably have boosted comments.

Susan just drank a weight loss potion. Had she drunk an attraction boost potion, the hat would do nothing, as she's already have attraction maxed out. GRANTED, if I was poking fun at Fallout games, the effects would be entirely visual and to do with attraction while logically debating something with a computer. I also would have considered physical side effects here if we didn't already have the effects (actual and mimic'd) of having strong magic skill.

I'm unsure about that. He said it makes you "superficially attractive", and then said it doesn't change how you look. But superficial means 'on the surface', so I'm not sure how something that makes you "superficially attractive" wouldn't make you *look* attractive. Especially when those two panels specifically show Susan's looks changing, and the third one reminds us that all the attraction stuff in this game is based on looks, including clothing.

For some of us, perfumes *are* just as potent as they are advertised to be. Admittedly, the *effect* of that potency is nigh the opposite of what they claim, but you were talking about potency, so... In other news, I interpret Tedd's assertion to mean, "Ashley, because you're you, you're guaranteed to transform in a way you find embarrassing. But for everybody *else*..."

Chordat

Except he just said that the Attraction potion doesn't change how she looks. I'm guessing she didn't actually take that potion and instead just drank something to reverse the "weight" gain potion.

It makes sense to me that it works this way. Most video games' idea of attractiveness is pretty stereotypical, so of course an attractiveness potion would give a woman that kind of figure. Though it'd be interesting if it sort of gave her an aura of "I'm hot" no matter what she looked like. :p

Aw yeah!

How have there been NO comments on this after 3 hours? Uhhh... Soooo... Yay for superficial attractiveness? :)
