Commentary
I had fun illustrating this one. I should try to make that a goal, rather than just a possibility, more often. I'm not actually sure whether it takes more or less time to make a comic when I indulge myself art-wise given how my mind wanders when I don't.
Sincerely, a visually simple scene with dialogue I love can be more intimidating than someone visually demanding by virtue of creation process tedium. I think it's one reason why there are so many fantasy panels in EGS.
Well, that, and early seasons of The Simpsons were heavily influential on me.
Anyhoo, I think the comic implies this well enough, but in case I'm mistaken, "Jack" is considering the possibility that someone's real world opinion of the real Arthur resulted in NPC Arthur being cast as the villain.
Sort of like if you thought someone was a clown, and then had a dream in which they were literally a clown (this example does not work if they are actually a clown by trade).

Hm. Rereading this, I wonder if Arthur's attempts to mollify Jack/&c will cause the temple evil dude to attack Arthur. Also: while it might be plausible to guess that Jack/&c is Arthur's daughter unaware, the fact is that Arthur (https://www.egscomics.com/comic/sister3-287) implies that his daughter knows her father. Or, y'know, the reassurance could be directed at temple evil dude.

Arthur's daughter is Diane. That has been pretty thoroughly defined in the last few years. Definitively in the final encounter between him and Pandora. Dittos about the time for Grace to make those trick shots.

Okay, so the likelihood that Jay/Jack/Jill is Arthur's daughter is pretty much zero now. Is Arthur's daughter going to become the Redcloak's Niece of EGS? Also, now is the time for Grace to do some trick shots to free Rhoda.
