Oh thank goodness I was tired of not seeing their individual faces and outfits.
As for how the heck Nanase wound up falling down into a place she originally went downward from, I COULD just say she moved up and around during the bits we skipped over, or I could just go with "it's an ancient magical crypt".
I'm gonna go with the latter. It's more infuriating.

Incidentally, I just finished reading "The Blade Itself." Some guys pay a visit to a magic temple, and one of them enjoys the high-altitude view--until a companion points out that they hadn't climbed at all to get there. They both freak out.
I think you missed the opportunity of a Portal reference there :)
