In Fable 2, you have Good and Evil, but you also have Purity and Corruption. When corrupt, you looked pretty gross, and I recall there being persistent flies around the character (ew) that didn't always go away properly when purity was restored.
When pure, however, you were clean and sparkly. In theory, anyway. I definitely remember an issue with getting rid of those accursed flies.
And thus was one of the reasons I chose Susan for this parody adventure. Beyond just the general fun to be had with Susan in a setting like this, the idea of literal cleanliness being linked to one's moral purity was reason enough on its own for Susan to take the controller.

Really? Huh. I never had that happen. I always reduced prices by a single step so I could still get money (badly needed at that point in the game) and purity alignment.

As long as you don't set the price too low, in which case the property is disrespected and the income reduced.

It will ALSO encourage economic growth, which will in turn give you MORE GOLD in the long run than setting higher prices!

And then Susan bought the whole town and made everything rent free.

Reminds me of how, in "Epic Mickey," using the allegedly evil thinner more than the paint caused Mickey's inky-black body to drip vertically. The designer had planned on a more dramatic transformation, but of course Disney would never allow its chief mascot to get too blatantly corrupt.
