I once wrote a story set in a world with upward showers, the idea being that the parts most in need of a wash were on the underside anyway. Floating might allow the equivalent.

On the one hand I kinda miss when Tedd was like "Hey Elliot think fast!" on the other hand, she is a much stronger, more developed and likable human being /character as a result.

Some Ed

1. Wanted to make sure the clothes weren't part of the form. Oh, naked in the bathroom, might as well get clean. 2. Wanted to pre-test Cheerleada's full body heat resistance, but didn't have a bathtub. Also, bathtubs get cold after not too long. 3. Was already in the shower when he decided to test something with one of his secret identity forms in the shower. Needed to switch to Cheerleada to get there. 4. Found somewhere he'd gotten dirty where the dirt just wouldn't come off, so wanted to be able to safely scrub *really* hard. 5. He was already in Cheerleada form when he decided to take a shower, and just didn't think about it. 6. Was running late, so wanted to use Cheerleada's flight powers to speed up the washing the feet portion of the shower.

I love the casual intimacy here between these two friends. Tedd resting her head on Elliot's lap, Elliot running fingertips casually over her arm ... We never would have seen these two doing that a year ago (in story time). I think the fact that they both can turn into girls now is helping them get over that fear of physical contact that is programmed into boys by our toxic patriarchal culture.

Dry yourself while still floating, hover over to carpet, a chair - or, at least, a dry bit of floor - and land there. Slowly. Zero slippage

I would assume if you slip while trying to land, you would start to fall but then catch yourself with the floating so now you're floating horizontally (and possibly just inches off the ground, if your reflexes are bad)

To be fair, it doesn't make much sense for Elliot to turn into Cheerleadra for any *other* reason. He can turn into *any girl he can imagine*, so if he wants to do anything dirty as a girl in the shower...
