"Honestly? I'm making a lot of assumptions."

Tensaided's a good boss, worried about employee safety & doesn't give a carp about dress code as long as you have your name tag visible.
Dan Shive
Not intentionally. It's intended to just be her work outfit made skimpy. That said, I totally see why you'd ask that.

You know, there's probably nothing in this that couldn't be canon...and I personally love the idea that Tensaided is ahead of the curve on "casual public magic" being a thing. *looks at transformed uniform* "While unusual for this employee, it doesn't break any store rules...I don't see any problems here." *moves on like this is a totally normal Thursday*

Is Susan's outfit inspired by Gender Bent Terry Bogart's outfit from SNK Heroine's?
Adama
Even if the string is transformation-proof, doesn't mean the tag is. It seems to be a common trope that if you transform while wearing a nametag then the name on it may change to match.
You should call it "The transformation proof string theory".

Now I'm picturing some form of change blindness element to a clothing transformation curse or somesuch. And it is good. "You're late. Explain." "I'm sorry boss, everything I put on turns into Hadaka Apron. I can't work like this." "Nonsense, it's your uniform, right? Right color, even has your name embroidered where it's supposed to. Go get to work!" "B... B... But this is a bank!!? I can't work like this!" "And Peter from Accounting's been a Playboy Bunny for a week. Your point?"
KiTA
If transformation proof lanyards existed half the fun of transformations wouldn't count. No, no, if you're going for transformation proof uniforms, there's really only one answer -- a box of acrylic or latex bodypaint, a small brush, and a steady hand. Careful around the nipple, that brush tickles. (Okay, okay, a necklace or clip on badge might work, but don't be shocked if it becomes a collar or piercing.)

Oh I love it.

Tea Susan is my favorite thing now.

Also, he’s fundamentally a good boss. There’s a reason for the nametag, so he checks that. Otherwise, Susan’s a good employee, she’s doing her work, she doesn’t make a habit of altering the uniform, he may have just decided to ignore that unless a customer makes a fuss.
M.
Good point. If he noticed the rules didn't specify employees wearing clothing, he'd have to add that in at some point.
Dan Shive
It does specify the rest of the uniform, HOWEVER, Susan is technically wearing that uniform. It's just transformed. I originally wanted to reflect that by wording it as something like "is that technically your uniform", but it was awkward to fit in panel, so I went with the name tag being the specific sticking point.
M.
Rules stickler that he is, I'm imagining Tensaided knowing that the rules specifically state that employees must wear a name tag but don't specify anything else they have to wear. :p

Susan always looks nice.

Given that jewlry needs to be skin tight to change, All string might be tf proof

I just realized that my mental pronunciation of "EGSNP" is "egg snap." :-)

I think the bubble tea is giving Susan the charisma bonus....wait a moment, has Justin finally gotten Susan to try the Fallout games? ;)
Adama
Since Tensaided used to treat his store as an RPG, is he going to give Susan a Charisma bonus?
Adama
Y'know, I've always been afraid to read women's nametags because I worried they'd think I was staring at their breasts. Unless they were in a large font.
Joshua Brumley
Cool Boss or not, he still has to put his foot down where workplace safety is concerned. Can't have everything, you know. :)
coredumperror
Susan is so pretty in this form!!
Kyman201
"Susan, this is Moperville. You showing up happy and blonde isn't even a blip on the Weird Radar."
John Trauger
This is probably why Susan works for Tensaided year-round in-continuity. Good bosses are as hard to find as good employees.
Desy
Ok. I guess this isn’t as non-canon as I thought, in the sense of character motivations being wildly distorted for the sake of shenanigans. Still, A+ EGSNP.
Matt R
Susan looks nice, and Tensaided is a pretty okay boss
McZed
... Tensaided is the BEST BOSS EVER.
