Funny how much I like fictional sports when real ones don't do much for me.

Any sportsball match but at the same time another sportsball match, but the fields of both are concentric and perpendicular to each other. Even better: Three sportsball events of the same type that are arranged in a nice hexagon.

I was trying to figure out how Elliot's basketball figured into the game.

It took me a while to realize that this would still involve using a baseball and baseball bat. I kept picturing this scenario only with golf balls and golf clubs, and it seemed a lot less viable!

I want to play this game now. Other good sport combinations: Cricket, but Pinball (the wickets are bumpers that send the ball careening elsewhere, bumpers on the field, can't hit for six because the field is domed). Handball, but basketball (score by ricocheting the ball off two walls and through the hoop). Golf, but on the street (played with a bright orange whiffle ball). Boxing, but paintball (effectively full contact team tag with gloves that leave powdery pigment on impact).
