these gecko scalies are adorable

This comment was mostly joking about Australian public holidays, rather than criticising US ones... of course, I’m bad at conveying jokes in general, let alone through text, and it’s unlikely anyone other than Victorian Aussies would get it.

I just realized that when they turn back, the might have big holes in the backs of their pants.
Turkeys? Not Geckos? :P

I mean, it's celebrating not starving, sure. But it's also a celebration of generosity and a victory for religious freedom. (Getting there was all well and good, but getting there in November in New England... not so much.)

Well, the American Thanksgiving does have American Football involved. I hear in some parts of the US it's more important than the turkeys.
Thisguy
oh yeah, that thing. Pretty silly really, celebrating for not staving. Should be like Victorian Australians and make your public holidays about sport, like the Melbourne cup, and the day before the AFL Grand Final. or National 'is it okay to celebrate on this day?' day, January 26th.

Hooray for Gecko Sarah!

So, I guess this leaves two questions: does this change the pattern on the walls, and can Sarah remember what she saw?

Oh carp, indeed!

Not so much a cliff-hanger as a wall-hanger, I think. :)

Why turkeys?

Curse you, Turkeys! First the gods of curling, and now you!? I shall devour you with impunity!
